OK, so where has this place been all my life?

AnĀ  old-fashioned supper club kind of a place – real food for real people. I had their Carbonara which is prepared with good pancetta with a moderately heavy cream sauce. The house Caesar was tasty and substantial. My buddy had one of the largest pieces of salmon I’ve ever seen on a luncheon portion – it looked great (no complaints from the diner).

This is a small place in an industrial part of NW Indiana – but well worth a visit as it is a short drive from the Chicago Skyway exit at Indianapolis Blvd. Just continue south on Indy Blvd. and look to the right after you pass the White Castle (you won’t feel like any sliders after eating at Keith’s).

They take reservations – ask for the front dining area.

Whiting is also home of the annual Pierogi fest in the summer – the waitresses advertise this important National event on their attire!

Great little spot with wine from casks made to owner’s specifications – both the red and white were good.

Shared freshly made ravioli with pumpkin squash filling – they split the order in the kitchen – always a good sign.

We will definitely be back.

Small spot so reservations would be a good idea during prime dining time.
