Honest, no additive Mexican cooking with excellent guacamole, mole sauce (the rich deep brown style – “homemade”) and the best fajitas in town – all for reasonable prices.
The owner comes from another well reputed Mexican restaurant and proves that attention to detail in the kitchen makes it possible to create a “fine” dining experience and be realistic about the prices. Service is very friendly and efficient, but give them the time to prepare their fresh dishes. Looks may be deceiving – this place doesn’t look like Rick’s place (Frontera), but their food preparation is creative.
A pitcher of Sangria, or glass of wine or beer, will complete your experience; sorry, no hard liquor here.
Open 7 days a week but remember that Indiana is dry on Sunday so skip the Sangria.

Located on Indianapolis Blvd. (Illinois end of the Outer Drive/South Shore Drive where US41 turns into Indianapolis Blvd.) – stay on Indianapolis Blvd. a few blocks beyond where US41 goes off to the right, beyond the Purple Steer Restaurant.
Try the Chicago Skyway from the Dan Ryan (94) and get off on US41 Indianapolis Blvd. after crossing one of the highest river bridges (in the world – sort of).
